SIU/Fraud Prevention

SMOKE OUT YOUR OFFENDERS AND ELIMINATE THREATS.

Fraudulent claims are a major threat to cost effective risk management operations. The National Council of Compensation Insurance (NCCI) has indicated that 25% - 33% of all reported workers' compensation claims are either fraudulent or greatly exaggerated. As a claims administrator, Insurance carriers and self-insured employers look to us not to just process claims, but to investigate and expose losses due to fraud. CCMSI's SIU/Fraud prevention program has the ability to coordinate and maintain control over all aspects of the claim investigation process, to smoke out offenders and eliminate threats from the system.

CCMSI has initiated a nationwide SIU program to provide surveillance, investigation services, and fraud management services to our Clients. The new program is called FIRE or Fraud Identification Recovery Edge. FIRE will significantly streamline surveillance activities and provide adjusters and clients with the ability to review surveillance tapes and reports on-line through iCE, CCMSI's Internet Claims Edge.

Through FIRE and iCE, CCMSI's Internet Claims Edge we have developed a state of the art web based case tracking system. This system is the most technologically advanced method of case tracking available on the market today. Our system will allow you to 1) check the status of a case that is being reviewed for potential fraud, 2) view surveillance reports and videotape on-line, 3) view the history of a case, and 4) view and print a "Client Management Report" of all cases assigned.

With a flexible, integrated approach to investigation and account management, FIRE will save you significant dollars in the detection, prevention, and withholding of payments on fraudulent insurance claims.
